U.S. Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) released the following statement after the House passed the the House Amendment to the Senate Amendment to H.R. 1892 -- Further Extension of Continuing Appropriations Act. This continuing resolution fully funds the armed forces, including a full year of defense funding, $659.2 billion. In addition, it extends funding and updates policies for various health care programs, including a two-year extension on funding for Community Health Care Centers.

"Today, as I have multiple times in the last few weeks, voted to keep the government open. While I'm fed up with the broken budget process, it's vital that we fully fund the Department of Defense and give our troops a raise they deserve -- this bill does both. It would also repeal Medicare's therapy cap. I consider this to be a win for many seniors in my district who shouldn't have to choose between major out-of-pocket costs to continue necessary therapy or halting their therapy services altogether. It's my hope that in the coming months we can get back to regular order and stop governing from crisis to crisis."
