Congressman Biggs Urges Swift House Passage of Senate's Right to Try Bill

Statement

Date: Feb. 2, 2018
Location: Gilbert, AZ

Today, Congressman Andy Biggs released the following statement on Right to Try legislation:

"President Trump used the State of the Union address on Tuesday to champion passage of Right to Try legislation that would give millions of Americans the hope of extending or saving their lives. The U.S. Senate unanimously passed its version of this policy, and House leadership has repeatedly committed to a vote.

"Each day, more Americans lose their battles with their terminal illnesses, yet the House of Representatives is tragically delaying this vital, bipartisan legislation from receiving a vote. Time is of the essence to pass the Right to Try. I call on our House leaders to quickly bring the Senate's version of Right to Try to a suspension vote. Our constituents deserve our swift consideration."
