Today, the House and the Senate historically passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. U.S. Representative Sam Graves, (MO-6), released the following statement after voting in favor of tax reform:

"The last time Americans experience a major tax reform was in 1986, under President Reagan. Over the last few decades, our broken tax code has failed Americans. With this passage, we are finally delivering on our promise to bring more jobs, fairer taxes, and bigger paychecks to middle-class Americans" said Graves.

"Americans at every income level deserve to keep more of their paycheck. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act overhauls America's tax code to deliver historic relief for workers, families and job creators and invigorates our nation's economy. This truly is a tax cut for everyone and I look forward to bringing much-needed relief to families across the country and building for a stronger America."

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act eliminates the Obamacare individual mandate penalty tax- providing families with much-needed relief and flexibility to buy the health care that's right for them if they choose.

President Trump is expected to sign the Tax Cuts and Job Act into law this week to bring tax relief to America by Christmas.
