Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03), a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, applauded Senators Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Patty Murray (D-WA) for their bipartisan deal to counteract President Trump's executive order to end cost-sharing reductions (CSRs).

"I commend Senators Alexander and Murray for crossing the aisle and coming together around a solution that will protect Nevada's hardworking families from skyrocketing health care costs," said Rosen. "With access to affordable health care at risk, Congress must act to stabilize insurance markets and reverse President Trump's reckless sabotage of our health care system. Any Republican attempts to derail this bipartisan compromise effort will only shift an even greater economic burden onto hardworking Nevada families, and we cannot let that happen."

BACKGROUND: Congresswoman Rosen is a co-sponsor of H.R.3258, the Marketplace Certainty Act, a bill that would immediately address market instability by controlling costs and help keep insurers from exiting the Silver State Exchange. The bill funds cost-sharing reductions provided by the Affordable Care Act, which would help drive down premiums costs and make insurance plans more affordable for consumers.
