Hudson Applauds Move to Protect N.C. from Energy Bill Hike

Statement

Issues: Energy

Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after the Trump administration announced it will move to repeal the Obama administration's power plant rule:

"Working families all across North Carolina are already struggling to pay their bills or living pay-check to pay-check. This is welcome news for them. By many estimates, the Obama administration's power plant rule would have increased their energy bills by 20% or more -- and had no measurable impact on the environment. I applaud President Donald Trump for taking action to stop this energy bill hike and to help create a more affordable and reliable energy supply."
