House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) released the following statement on the Republican's unified framework for fixing our broken tax code:

"Tax reform is our country's greatest opportunity to make America stronger and give people the opportunity for better lives. Today's code is broken. It was designed in a different time and for decades it has grown to benefit special interests at the expense of hardworking taxpayers who simply don't have an army of tax lawyers. This unified framework answers the call from the American people for a fairer and simpler tax code that will create jobs. It will also propel American innovation and business to new heights in the 21st century. With President Trump and the Republican Congress we will rise to this moment and deliver tax reform for a stronger America."
