Long comments on the passage of H.R. 3354, the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act

Congressman Billy Long (MO-07) issued the following statement after the passage of H.R. 3354, the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act, 2018. This bill funds critical federal functions, such as law enforcement and infrastructure while reducing wasteful spending on unnecessary programs, such as programs that promote Obamacare.

"Today, the House passed H.R. 3354, the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act, which includes my amendment that cuts through bureaucratic red tape and protects our farmers and ranchers," said Rep. Billy Long. "We need to prioritize our spending and put taxpayer's dollars to good use. This bill does that by investing in policies and programs that protect the unborn, enforce our immigration policies and support our agriculture industry."

This bill includes the eight remaining appropriations bills for FY2018. The House passed the other four appropriations bills in July of this year.
