Rep. Sander Levin (MI-09) today released the following statement in response to President Trump's speech on tax reform:

"The President was long on rhetoric, and most often strikingly short on detail. He was painfully vague in his discussion about middle-class tax-relief. Contrary to his rhetoric, his plan would open the door to massive tax cuts for the very wealthy. Talk about closing loopholes without mentioning any of them is totally disingenuous. His calls for bipartisanship came at the same time there has not been a scintilla of bipartisanship so far in the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee. That must change right now."
