US Congressional candidate Kathie Allen has announced her support for a bipartisan congressional caucus and says she will join if she is elected this year.

"If we are to make any progress on this crucial issue, we must leave behind partisan bickering and special interests and put people first. This is the type of congressional action that gives Americans hope that Congress can work together to solve problems. I applaud these members' efforts and their bipartisan work. Health care is an issue that should be naturally bipartisan since we all want what is best for our children, for seniors, for veterans, and for every American."

"We can transcend big pharma and other special interests and focus on helping people We can move toward new medicines, like medical cannabis, that have proven results. We can work together to see that every American has health care. But it will take the political will of both sides of the aisle."

This caucus of 43 House members is led by Tom Reed (R-N.Y.) and Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) and has delivered a set of principles to advance solutions to address the destabilized individual health care market.

Dr Allen is a family doctor with over 30 years' experience working with Utah families.
