Murphy Statement on Attack in Barcelona, Spain

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, released a statement on Thursday after a van plowed into a crowd of people in Barcelona, Spain, killing several people and wounding dozens.

"My heart is with the victims, their families, and the people of Spain. This was an evil attack on innocent citizens peacefully going about their daily lives," said Murphy. "The United States stands with the people of Spain, and we are here ready to help track down and bring the perpetrators to justice."
