Today, Congresswoman Jacky Rosen (NV-03) released the following statement on the Trump Administration's proposal to cut legal immigration to the U.S. by half:

"My grandparents were immigrants from Eastern Europe who came to America searching for economic security and a better life for their family. For generations, immigrants have made enormous contributions to this country by working hard, paying taxes, starting new businesses and creating jobs. Since taking office, President Trump has used fear and hateful rhetoric to divide our communities with his anti-immigrant agenda. Whether it's spending billions of taxpayer dollars on a senseless border wall or trying to slash legal immigration rates by half, President Trump's proposals have failed to respect and uphold our values as a nation. I will continue to call for bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform that respects our diverse communities and strengthens Nevada's economy for future generations."
