Today, Congressman Sires issued the following statement condemning the terrorist attacks in Manchester, England.

"Yesterday's attack at Manchester Arena was a cowardly act targeting families and young children. These attacks are unfortunately another example of how militant extremists' only goal is to instill fear amongst the people for their own twisted satisfaction.

I extend my deepest condolences to the victims and their loved ones as they begin the difficult process of healing and assure our friends and allies in the United Kingdom that we are committed to working with them to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice."
