Graves Statement on Confirmation of Mick Mulvaney as OMB Director

Statement

Date: Feb. 16, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement after Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC-05) was confirmed by the Senate as director of the Office of Management and Budget:

"If there's one thing I know about Mick Mulvaney after more than six years serving together in the House, it's that he's a rock solid fiscal conservative. I know he will help President Trump write conservative budgets that prioritize the essential functions of the federal government, cut waste and restore fiscal sanity. I'm also confident he will work with the Appropriations Committees in Congress to return to the regular government funding process, which maximizes oversight and accountability. As a member of the House Appropriations Committee and chairman of the Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government, I look forward to working with Rep. Mulvaney in his new position."
