Strange Joins Fight to Protect 2nd Amendment Rights

Statement

Date: March 6, 2017
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Guns

Alabama Senator Luther Strange joined Senate colleagues last week in co-sponsoring S. 446, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. The bill, introduced by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), will allow citizens with concealed carry permits in their home state to exercise these privileges in any other concealed carry state, while observing that state's laws.

"Just as I did when I was the state Attorney General, I am ready to fight for Alabamians' Second Amendment rights. This commonsense legislation makes sure that the right of law-abiding gun owners to protect themselves does not stop at the state line. I look forward to working with my colleagues to get this important fix across the finish line."
