Today U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) announced more than $28 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for West Virginia housing programs across the state.

"All West Virginians deserve a place to call home," Senator Capito said. "This funding will provide support that will allow housing programs across the state to continue delivering important resources to our most vulnerable citizens and helping them find access to safe and stable living conditions."

"We know the importance of helping out our neighbors in times of need in West Virginia," Senator Manchin said. "This funding will enable communities across the state to improve public housing and promote safe and stable living environments. This funding ensures that those who are struggling to get by, including children, seniors and Veterans, have a roof over their heads and have access to the resources and support they need to get back on their feet."
