Carson Statement on Today's Health Care Vote

Statement

"Today's vote to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act was a loss for Hoosiers and all Americans. With today's vote, Republicans move us one step closer to a cruel and immoral system that focuses more on profits than on patients. To make matters worse, proponents are making blatantly false claims that this bill maintains protections for pre-existing conditions and access to basic services.

"This bill not only undermines our physical health, but weakens the economic well-being our county's most vulnerable by increasing premiums and cutting coverage. People's lives depend on access to health care and affordable health insurance. With the passage of this bill, millions of American families are fearing how they will get by without the affordable coverage they rely on every day."
