Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) issued the following statement after Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai briefed a group of bipartisan members of the Energy and Commerce Committee.

"I applaud Chairman Pai for personally coming down to the committee to brief us on his Notice of Proposed Rulemaking rolling back the FCC's reclassification of broadband as a common carrier," said Blackburn. "I remain hopeful that all parties involved can come together in a bipartisan fashion and work with one another on a solution that not only protects consumers but the future of the internet."
