Today U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will award $8,535,702 to health centers in Huntington and Baker. The funding will be used to support the medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmaceutical services the centers provide.

"Both Valley Health Systems and E.A. Hawse Health Center provide critically important care to the communities they serve," Senator Manchin said. "This funding will help enable these clinics to continue providing the care their communities rely on."

"Keeping our communities in the Mountain State healthy is one of my top priorities," Senator Capito said. "This funding will help these two health centers continue to support a broad range of care services and ensure their patients have access to the high quality care they deserve."
