Today, the Senate voted 93-6 to confirm Elaine Chao as the next Secretary of Transportation. Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) released the following statement:

"Elaine Chao is an experienced public servant and I am delighted that Congress will have the opportunity to work with her again as she leads the Department of Transportation. She has the drive and the determination to usher in a new era of infrastructure renewal."
