Chairman Royce Applauds Keystone XL Approval

Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued the following statement after the State Department issued a permit approving construction of the Keystone XL pipeline:
"I applaud today's approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, which had been rejected by an administration that put special interests ahead of national priorities. Keystone XL will support thousands of good-paying American jobs and will improve U.S. energy security. This decision also sends a message to the OPEC cartel and others that the United States, as the world's leading producer of energy, supports its allies and partners."
