Chabot Applauds Trump Action on Pipeline Projects

Statement

Date: Jan. 24, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

House Small Business Committee Chairman Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) made the following statement about President Donald J. Trump's executive action to advance the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipeline projects:

"It is important to remember when we talk about these pipeline projects and the jobs they will support, we are talking about more than just statistics," said Chairman Chabot. "We are talking about real people in cities and towns across our nation. I have personally met workers at the Siemens factory in Cincinnati who have been ready for two years to manufacture the electric motors for the Keystone XL pipeline. This action will be welcome news to tens of thousands of hardworking Americans and their families who were denied these jobs because of the previous administration's misguided policy."
