Feinstein Supports Shulkin Nomination

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today voted in favor of the nomination of Dr. David Shulkin as Secretary of Veterans Affairs:

"Dr. David Shulkin had a distinguished career leading some of our country's top health care systems, including Beth Israel Medical Center, and he was nominated by President Obama in 2015 to run the VA's expansive health care system. Working closely with former VA Secretary Bob McDonald, he began to implement reforms to ensure veterans get the care and benefits they need.

"For those reasons I support Dr. Shulkin for Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

"I look forward to working with Secretary Shulkin as we continue our effort to transform the West LA VA into a leading provider of veterans' services by adding 1,200 units of housing for homeless veterans and a wide range of educational, health care and recreational services."
