Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) issued the following statement regarding a potential vote in the United Nations Security Council on Israeli settlement activity:

"If the resolution comes to a vote in the UN Security Council, I urge the Obama Administration to veto it. As written, this one-sided resolution erroneously places the blame for the ongoing conflict on Israel. A conclusive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will require direct negotiations between the two parties. This conflict will not be brought closer to an end by passing this resolution against Israel. In fact, it will undermine efforts toward peace."
