U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) released the following statement after President Trump signed an executive order rolling back the EPA's Waters of the United States:

"President Trump promised America's farmers he would grant them relief from the regulatory onslaught of the last eight years, and this is a good way to start. The Waters of the United States rule was especially intrusive to Arkansas. It tried to dictate everything from when Arkansas farmers can plant to how often they can run a tractor on their farm. Washington has no business regulating mud puddles on people's private property, and the president's decision today marks a new era at the EPA for rural America."
