Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement after a Texas Federal District Judge granted an emergency injunction against the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) overtime rule:

"I'm pleased that a Federal Judge granted an injunction against the Department of Labor's overtime rule. This rule would have prohibited Arkansas workers from becoming salaried until they earned more than $47,000 - an amount higher than the median income in Arkansas. I look forward to working with the new administration to permanently repeal this rule to protect all Arkansans."
