Issue Position

While Nevada slowly recovers from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, many people who have been able to find work are still unable to live off the wages they earn. It is long past time for Congress to raise the minimum wage so working Americans can feed their families off the pay they earn. I have always fought for workers' rights, and fair and equal employment opportunities -- and fighting for fair and equitable treatment for people with disabilities is no exception. I support legislation that would prohibit employers from paying workers with disabilities less than their counterparts, and I oppose legislation that discriminates against applicants.
