Secured full Congressional passage for the first time of legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare (H.R. 3762), which was then vetoed by the President.

Called for a Department of Justice investigation into Health Republic of New York, the failed NYS health exchange co-op, which abruptly left over 200,000 New Yorkers without health insurance.

Cosponsored a new law, the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA, H.R. 953), to combat the heroin and opioid abuse epidemic.

Co-sponsored the Mental Health and Safe Communities Act, H.R. 3722, to provide grant funding for community based mental health programs and related law enforcement programs to better serve our community.

Protecting individuals with disabilities by introducing H.R. 3229, which will prevent a massive increase to access and costs associated with essential specialized power and manual wheelchairs and related services relied on by disabled individuals and their families.

Cosponsored the 21st Century Cures Act (H.R. 6), which passed the House, to advance America's robust pursuit of cures and treatments to diseases both well known and rare.

Cosponsored H.R. 789, the Tick-Borne Disease Research Accountability and Transparency Act of 2015, which establishes the Interagency Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Working Group in order to identify best practices for treatment and research. This legislation was included in H.R. 6, the 21st Century Cures Act, which passed the House.
