Location: Columbia, SC
Issues: Environment

Governor Nikki Haley, alongside the Central Carolina Community Foundation, announced a plan to increase fundraising efforts of the One SC Fund to help those impacted by Hurricane Matthew.

Established to assist South Carolinians recovering from natural disasters, the One SC Fund's first project was providing relief and recovery assistance to South Carolinians in the aftermath of last year's thousand year flood. Thanks to generous donors, to date, One SC has distributed $2,000,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations supporting flood recovery projects across our state and has helped over 1,500 of our families return home.

"South Carolinians from all walks of life have been so generous through the challenges of the last few years. We are now faced with a new challenge, and in the spirit of our state, of neighbors helping neighbors, we have expanded the mission of the OneSC Fund to help deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. Thank you, to anyone and everyone, in advance, for your gracious support - trust that every dollar we raise will go directly to helping a fellow South Carolinian in need," said Governor Nikki Haley

All donations go directly to nonprofit organizations helping our state recover and rebuild.
