Hassan Campaigns With the Washington Democrat Machine

Press Release

Location: Manchester, NH

As Governor Hassan campaigns today with Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren, Kelly for New Hampshire spokeswoman Liz Johnson released the following statement regarding Hassan's commitment to marching in lockstep with her Washington party bosses:

"Today is a clear reminder that Governor Hassan is bought and paid for by the Washington Democrat machine that recruited her into this race and is spending millions to prop up her campaign. They know she'll be a reliable rubber stamp for Clinton's agenda, just as she's been in lockstep with her on supporting the Iran Deal, Obamacare, and more taxes to pay for more spending. New Hampshire needs an independent leader who will stand up to either party to do what's right for the state, which is why voters will reelect Kelly in November."

Clinton's stop in New Hampshire comes one day after the Union Leader, Portsmouth Herald and Nashua Telegraph endorsed Kelly as the independent voice in this race and just days after Clinton's Super PAC, Priorities USA, poured millions into the New Hampshire Senate race attacking Kelly. Hassan has faced criticism throughout her campaign for being "little more than President Hillary Clinton's rubber stamp." She's been called "more passionate about Clinton for president" than about her own Senate race, where she's simply "looking to ride Hillary Clinton's coattails to Capitol Hill."
