Location: Washington, DC

Today, U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) met with the Fayette County Drug Coalition called "Faith in Recovery." Faith in Recovery invited Senator Portman to tour and see the plans of a firehouse that the organization plans to convert into a treatment center. In a video recorded after his visit, Portman discusses how his recently signed-into-law Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act (CARA) will help and detailed how his Drug-Free Communities Act helps provide millions of dollars of support to hundreds of community anti-drug coalitions around the country, similar to Faith in Recovery in Fayette County.

"I'm really proud of the team today and what they're pulling together," says Portman in the video. "It was great to meet with them to talk about their plans and talk about how we can help to begin to turn the tide of this opioid addiction issue in Fayette County."
