Kirk Meets with Albanian President Bujar Nishani to Discuss U.S.-Albania Relations

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) met with Albanian President Bujar Nishani to discuss U.S. - Albania ties and military cooperation. President Nishani thanked Senator Kirk for his many years of support for a free and democratic Albania.
"I thank President Nishani for meeting with me to discuss the ongoing partnership between our two countries. It was an honor to host President Nishani and discuss key issues on behalf of the 8,700 Albanians whom I represent in Illinois. The U.S. should continue to support a strong and independent Albania that is fully integrated into NATO in order to capitalize on the gains of a quarter century of progress following the end of Communist rule in Albania," said Senator Kirk.
