In the state legislature, I have actively worked to protect women's access to reproductive healthcare. As a state senator I will work to block attempts to defund Planned Parenthood. Women deserve the right to make their own healthcare choices.

In 2015 I co-sponsored a bill to ensure that vital services for women faced with the horror of domestic abuse could find refuge in our state's domestic violence shelters. We must continue to work to provide services to these women and their children to ensure they are safe.
