Maggie for NH Response to Ayotte's Meaningless Trump Comments

Maggie for NH Press Secretary Meira Bernstein released the following statement in response to Kelly Ayotte's comments on Trump's attacks on the Khan family:

"Moral indignation isn't something one can have both ways. Donald Trump's attacks on veterans, Gold Star families, Americans with disabilities, and the most vulnerable in our country aren't just random incidents for Kelly Ayotte to selectively distance herself from -- they are who Donald Trump actually is, and yet Kelly Ayotte continues to support putting him in the White House.

"Kelly Ayotte's words are meaningless. Her continued support of Donald Trump for President sends a clear message that she will always put her political party first. Ayotte's decision to support Trump for President -- and to continue to stand by him as he reinforces every day just how temperamentally unfit he is to serve as President -- shows a troubling lack of judgment. Granite Staters will remember Ayotte's decision to put her political party before country in November."
