Press Release: Curbelo's Mixed Signals on Trump

Date: May 11, 2016
Issues: Elections

Curbelo says he's a leader of the #NeverTrump movement but votes, again and again, for Trump's vision.

Last night Republican voters in West Virginia and Nebraska showed their overwhelming support for Donald Trump and his disastrous vision for America.

Rep. Carlos Curbelo, running for re-election in Florida's 26th Congressional District, says he won't vote for Trump yet he votes in favor of Trump's extreme agenda. Curbelo said opposing Trump was a "moral decision," which begs the question, what else does Mr. Curbelo consider a moral decision?

Did Curbelo think voting to deny women access to healthcare was a moral decision?
Did Curbelo think voting to shut down the government to stop the President's executive order on immigration was a moral decision?
Did Curbelo think voting to take away the healthcare of millions by repealing Obamacare was a moral decision?
Did Curbelo think siding with big oil and coal interests to hurt our environment was a moral decision?

Curbelo may say he opposes Donald Trump but his record shows he supports Donald Trump's agenda.

"We know that Carlos Curbelo will say one thing in the district and votes the opposite in Washington," said Joe Garcia, Candidate for Florida's 26th Congressional District. "It is not surprising to see him say he is anti-Trump in South Florida while going to Washington to push Trump's vision of America on the voters of South Florida."
