Missouri Secretary of State and Democratic Candidate for U.S. Senate, Jason Kander, hosted a roundtable discussion with some Joplin business owners Wednesday afternoon. Part of his platform is to help create good paying jobs in the state. Kander tells News Talk KZRG how he's helped employers in Jefferson City.
"We have made it much more efficient to work with the Secretary of State's Office on starting a business by making sure that the website is user-friendly."
Kander suggested business creation and development is just a part of his plan.
"Also the need for a middle-class tax-cut so that more folks here in Joplin can afford to take advantage of the goods and services offered to them by small businesses in Joplin."
Kander faces Republican incumbent Roy Blunt in November.
