Today, U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly released the following statement in advance of Sunday's 15th Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Donnelly said, "Fifteen years ago, friends and neighbors, sisters and brothers, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters were taken from us in senseless acts of terrorism. Across Indiana and the country, we mourn the innocent lives lost, pray for loved ones who are still with us, and recommit ourselves to honoring the memory of the victims through service to community and country. We must remain vigilant against those who threaten us, and continue to support our military in their effort to combat terrorism around the world. "
