Issue Position: Making Government Work for Us

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2016

In the last legislative session, GOP legislators displayed a level of hubris never before witnessed in our state capitol. From gutting the civil service law and abolishing investigations of political misconduct by courts, to allowing corporate contributions to political campaigns and eliminating public funding for state parks and forests, Republicans in Madison made it clear that they think they can do whatever they want, even when it's contrary to the public will.

I want to go to Madison to promote fair and responsible government. To me, elective office isn't a career to pursue. Rather, it is a responsibility to help ensure a better life for the people of Wisconsin, including those who come after us. If elected to the state assembly, I pledge to serve no more than three two-year terms.
