New Ad Highlights Congressman Heck's Ten Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood, Opposition to a Woman's Right to Choose

Catherine Cortez Masto for Senate launched a new ad today highlighting Congressman Heck's record of voting in Washington against Nevada women. Congressman Heck has voted at least ten times to defund Planned Parenthood. He even tried shutting down the federal government in order to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood. Congressman Heck opposes a woman's right to choose and supports overturning Roe v. Wade, which would allow states to criminalize abortion.

"From voting at least ten times to defund Planned Parenthood, to opposing a woman's right to choose, Congressman Heck is part of the problem in Washington," said Zach Hudson, spokesperson for Catherine Cortez Masto for Senate. "Congressman Heck and Washington Republicans were so determined to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood that they were willing to shut down the government. Nevadans need a Senator who will put their interests first, not a politician like Congressman Heck who votes in Washington to restrict women's access to preventative healthcare."

The ad, called "Ten Times," is set to air in Las Vegas and Reno.
