Issue Position

Having a safe community is vital to the fastest growing Borough in the state. I have worked closely with our state representatives and other agencies to address the increase in crime, theft and drugs in our community. We have seen much success in the last few years with our local Police, Alaska State Troopers and the Crime Suppression Unit to bring down drug dealers and thieves. We also have neighborhood watch and social media watch dogs that keep an eye on our community when an officer is not in your vicinity.

We must remain vigilant in keeping our community safe by keeping public safety resources at reasonable levels.
