Straighten Our Economy
I will have a Bill in place within my first 100 days, as your next United States Senator to reduce taxes on small businesses. This will allow the money generated by small business to stay within Louisiana economy. I will also work with my United States Senate colleagues to have a Bill in place, as your next United States Senator to Strengthen Louisiana economy by using the federal government to create more high paying jobs with benefits with an infrastructure Bill to improve and repair our roads, streets, highways, bridges, levies and dams that will create many good construction jobs throughout Louisiana. According to the American Society of Civil Engineers, Louisiana received a C- for the quality of its infrastructure after finding 62% of the state's roads were in mediocre to poor condition, 3,815 bridges are structurally defective or functionally obsolete, 33 dams were considered "high hazard, and the drinking water and wastewater systems will need $10.9 billion in improvements over the next 20 years. Keep in mind, this study was done in 2013. Washington spends $92 billion on corporate welfare, when many of these corporations outsource a large percentage of their workforce in other countries. Therefore, I will write a Bill to amend corporate subsidies when a Company or Corporation outsources more than 10% of their workforce outside of the United States.
I believe in tax cuts for low income and middle class citizens, while eliminating the tax cuts made for the wealthy. I will fight to decrease taxes for families making less than $75,000 a year. I will also support temporary incentives for small businesses to invest in job creation.
I will work with the other 99 United States Senators to accomplish Louisiana's in our country's agenda.
