I understand the constitution is the supreme law of the land. No president, senator or congressman has the authority to act outside the bounds of the constitution.
But as a conservative, the constitution is more than just a set of laws. I know how important our constitution is to our continued success as a nation. We need a congress who will hold the executive branch in check and make sure the president, and everyone in government, follows the constitution.
That's not just a suggestion or a good idea. It's the law!
