U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) issued the following statement today after at least nine people were killed during a suspected terror attack in Munich, Germany:

"As investigators in Germany search for answers to another senseless attack, I urge our Administration to take steps to ensure similar attacks do not happen on American soil. This year, it has become increasingly clear that keeping Americans safe from acts of terror must be our number one priority."
