"Our people cannot afford today's current $10,000 and up deductibles, and outrageous premiums, but still my opponent wants more government control of healthcare. His plan will force America into socialist Marxism, promising "free" healthcare by robbing each of our bank accounts through huge tax increases," says Dan. "Not only is this unconstitutional, it will not provide us with the healthcare choice and freedom we love and desire here in America. Nor will his forced policies support values that we all share and love," Dan says. Dan Cox is proven to fight for every American big and small, and is committed to defend life, liberty and freedom and to advance policies that accomplish those goals of individual opportunity and better healthcare.

Dan will go to Congress and work to open competition for healthcare insurance across state lines, so that the best insurance plans and rates in other states are permitted to sell insurance here in Maryland while expanding opportunities for private health care accounts. "Healthcare competition is the path to successfully helping Marylanders get coverage because it drives down costs to affordable rates, keeps the freedom of choice for our own doctor in your own hands, expands options for coverage and puts the responsibility of caring for ourselves with us and not society," Dan says.

Protecting Social Security and Medicare for Seniors and Future Generations

The federal government's raiding of Social Security of over $60 Billion is an outrage and must be corrected with immediately refunding and placing that amount back in the Trust Fund.

This can immediately occur through Congressional oversight and cutting wasteful agencies, streamlining the federal government so that billions are saved and seniors are protected.

Dan Cox strongly supports increasing the rate of cost of living increases for seniors and ensuring that no one who has paid into the system and is nearing retirement has their benefits or date of full retirement changed or reduced. For younger workers, we must act to make sure Social Security is funded and exists because it is currently going bankrupt by 2025 or sooner.
