Powering the world's largest economy is a great challenge. By making smart decisions now, we can set future generations up for success.
I believe in our country's ability to invent ourselves out of almost any problem. But true innovation can't happen when government picks winners and losers, like it does in the energy industry. We need a level playing field for all energy sources, while protecting Iowa's farmers and economy.
As our communities grow and develop, private property rights shouldn't be left at the wayside. Government and private companies threaten our natural heritage when they use eminent domain to seize family farms for oil pipelines, water projects, and more.
