Issue Position

In Albany, Adriano advocates to reform solitary confinement and raise the age and ensured that no adolescent is confine w adult criminals in prison he opposes the death penalty.

Adriano will use his on-the-ground and legislative experience to work towards commonsense reforms and push back against reactionary policies, that feed the cycle of recidivism. He will help fight for a national ban on racial profiling and advocate for making smart investments in education, alternative sentencing, drug courts, and reentry programs that can help end the schoolhouse to jailhouse track. He will also be a strong voice for ending the tragic, wasteful mass incarceration of non-violent drug users and reallocating those resources to efforts that can truly reduce crime like shutting down the illegal gun pipeline.
