Rep. Brat Cosponsors Secure Fence Restoration Act

On Monday Rep. Dave Brat co-sponsored H.R. 4034: Secure Fence Restoration Act of 2015 which would require the entire southwest border fence to be completed by no later than December 31, 2017.

This bill also prohibits the Secretaries of Interior and Agriculture from restricting the activities of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Federal land and authorizes CBP to conduct search and rescue operations and restrict unlawful entries into the United States.

"The vast majority of the American people support border enforcement measures like this one," said Rep. Dave Brat. "This bill shows that Congress is listening to the American people's concerns. Legislation like this is critical to our national security, as terrorist organizations like ISIS have already threatened to exploit our porous border."
