U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp announced $125,000 in federal funding for the Dakota Manufacturing Extension Partnership Inc., also known as Impact Dakota to support innovation in manufacturing.

"North Dakota continues to expand its economy and bring in new and innovative businesses," said Heitkamp. "Investments that spur innovation in manufacturing are critical to creating good jobs for hard working North Dakotans. These federal funds will help manufacturers develop their products, adapt to changing technology, and get their finish products to market"

These federal funds are made available by the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology's Hollings Manufacturing Extension Program (MEP) which invests federal funds into the new science and technology that will create jobs and increase efficiency of small and mid-sized manufacturers.
