Date: April 15, 2016
Location: Vestal, NY

Kim Myers--candidate for Congress in New York's 22nd district--raised $230,000 in the first 29 days of her campaign. She will file with more that $229,000 cash on hand at the end of the first fundraising period of 2016. More than 300 donors contributed to Kim's campaign in the first month.

"I am honored by the broad support our campaign has received, which will give us the resources we need to share my vision of job creation and common sense leadership with voters in Upstate New York," Kim Myers said. "New York families are clear: they want a representative who will go to Washington and put jobs and families first. For too long, Washington's partisanship and gridlock has left us in its wake. I am running for Congress to bring Upstate New York values to Washington to tackle the pressing issues facing our region."

Kim Myers was born and raised in Binghamton, and grew up working in the family's business, Dick's Clothing and Sporting Goods. She is a former independent small business owner, served on the Vestal Central Schools District Board of Education for 18 years -- eight of those years as president - and is currently a Broome County legislator. Kim and her husband of 35 years have raised six children in Broome County.
