On Tuesday, the Senate passed its version of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by a vote of 85-13. Continuing her effective and bipartisan advocacy in the Senate, U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte used her position on the committee and as Chair of the Readiness and Management Support Subcommittee to successfully include in the Senate-passed NDAA and associated Committee Report more than 42 provisions that are important to our service members, New Hampshire, and our national security.

"With our troops in harm's way confronting serious and growing threats to our nation, I was proud to vote today to support the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes provisions important to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the New Hampshire National Guard that I worked successfully to incorporate," said Ayotte. "I will continue to use my position on the Senate Armed Services Committee to advocate in an effective and bipartisan manner for our service members, New Hampshire, and our national security," she continued.
