This bill fully fund construction and building maintenance activities of the Department of Defense (DOD) as well as fund the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Congressman Yoho gave the following statement:

"The bill we passed today is a strong bill that funds the Department of Veteran Affairs so our nation's veterans and their families receive the benefits and care they deserve. The VA programs and projects we voted to fund today support the health and well-being of not only our veterans but our active duty military as well. Our military personal, past and present, have stepped up and volunteered to defend our nation and we owe them our unwavering support and gratitude.

"Also, this appropriations fund important military construction and renovation projects on our bases at home and around the globe. Maintenance of our military bases is vital for our troops to carry out their missions safely and effectively."
